If Mommy were an Octopus By: Amber Sarah Bartlett and Jodi Stolove.
When Amber was three, we were getting out of our van, I was carrying her, my purse, our take out food for dinner and my keys. Amber then said,“Mommy, can you please get Diana Bear?” About to drop the many things I was carrying, I asked with slight annoyance,“What do you think I am?” Amber answered, “An Octopus.” After sharing a good laugh, my annoyance subsided. As a mom, an extra arm or two or three often seems desirable, and I wish I were an Octopus. The title of our book was born.
