“If You’re Stirring the Pot… Just Stir the Pot.”

Posted by

You know how some people can just sit quietly and meditate?
Well… I love and admire them, and that’s not me.

I’m a perpetual motion machine. If I’m awake, I’m on the move... doing, going, planning.

This week, let’s explore a different kind of  meditation — one that doesn’t require stillness, silence, or sitting cross‑legged on a cushion.

It’s mindfulness for the doers, the stirrers, the walkers, the shakers, the chair dancers, and the
“I meditate best when I’m in motion” people.

It’s mindfulness in motion.

It’s meditation disguised as everyday life.

It’s presence without stillness.

  • If you’re walking, walk. Feel your feet, your breath, your pace.
  • If you’re washing dishes, wash dishes. Warm water, slippery plates, simple rhythm.
  • If you’re dancing, dance. Let your body lead instead of your thoughts.
  • If you’re gardening, garden. Notice textures, colors, scents.
  • If you’re driving, drive. One hand on the wheel, one moment at a time.
  • If you’re stretching, stretch. Feel the length, the ease, the breath.

These are tiny portals into presence — and they count as meditation.
